The unhappy foreign tourists lodge a complaint with police, saying they were left stranded by a tour bus at a petrol station in Chiang Mai's Saraphi district, and that foreign currency worth 80,000 baht was stolen from their bags. The tourists said they had bought tour packages, tickets and accommodation, for a visit to Chiang Mai from a tour firm in Bangkok. All were asked to get off the bus at the petrol station there. But the five stranded tourists told police when they checked their bags they discovered that their cash in foreign currency, worth about 80,000 baht, was missing. Pol Lt Atthachai Traichak, of Chiang Mai tourist police, said these types of tour bus operate on non-regular routes.
